There are new vaccine requirements for vaccines starting in August 2015 that will be implemented statewide for the 2015-2016 school year and beyond.
The biggest change is that the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine will no longer be optional. All students entering 7th grade for the 2015-2016 school year will be required to have one dose of the HPV vaccine. Please see the new requirements below:
- 2015-2016 school year: All students entering 7th grade much have 1 dose of HPV
- 2016-2017 school year: All students entering 8th grade must have 2 doses of HPV
- 2017-2018 school year: All students entering 9th grade must have 3 doses (completed series) of HPV
In addition all students entering 12th grade for the 2015-2016 school year must have a 2nd dose of Menactra (Meningococcal vaccine).
